Create a beautiful, lacy scarf with color changes. This project is great for mini skeins.
For the advanced beginner who knows how to cast on, knit purl, increase, bind off.
*Pattern Magmatic Scarf by Laura Nelkin (need to purchase).
*400(550) yards of fingering weight yarn (Option to use one 100 g skein of main color and 3 mini skeins 45 yards each).
*Size US 5, 40" Circular Needle.
*Stitch markers - two colors (2 of color A, 1 of color B).
Optional: 20-28 small stitch markers for marking pattern repeats.
Optional: Beads (50-70 grams of size 6 beads. Either one color or split the quantity between 2 colors). Beads are optional.
*0.75 - 1.0mm crochet hook for placing beads (if using beads).
Homework: Cast on 289(401) stitches using lace or knitted cast-on, join in the round without twisting stitches (no need to make Magic Ball).
With scrap yarn and extra needle (any size) cast on 20 stitches and knit 3-5 rows stockinette. We'll use this to practice stitches.
