Gauge & Blocking for Knitters



Here's a class you won't want to miss!  A combo class with a wealth of information.  You will learn the importance of making a gauge swatch and how to do it efficiently and accurately.  It's a must for the perfect fitting garment.  Then you'll learn how to block your knitting so it is shaped perfectly to show off the beautiful details you worked so hard to complete.

Prerequisites:  For any knitter who has successfully completed a beginning knitting class, can cast-on, knit, purl, and bind-off.

Requirements:
*Susan Bates Knit-Check Gauge *Light Color yarn in worsted weight or chunky weight along with appropriately sized needles (a partial skein of leftover yarn is fine). PRE-CLASS Homework: Make a flat stockinette swatch. Instructions: Cast on 30 stitches. Knit four rows for a garter stitch border (this means four rows of knit stitch). Work four inches in stockinette with a four stitch garter border on either side. Knit four rows for a garter stitch border. Bind off.
